Oldham County Schools new Engineering Academy program is highlighted in the Courier Journal. The hands-on nature of the class is seen as critical to the program's success. We began our year last summer with a meeting with Superintendent Wells where we discussed the role of the Foundation in supporting the Oldham County Schools. We discussed the Foundation's desire to focus its financial resources this year on five (5) main district wide initiatives, the Pyramid Awards, the Oldham County Arts Center Artist In Residence Program, Gifted/Talented instruction, the Oldham County Preschool, and the Jr. Guard program at the Arvin Center. Dr. Wells was very encouraging and supportive of our plans.
